In accordance with “The Law on Education” and “National program of personnel training” of the Republic of Uzbekistan the Institute trains lawyers of bachelor and master (graduate) levels. The academic term for the bachelor’s degree is four years and for the master’s degree is two years in addition to bachelor’s degree. Three faculties and master’s department are functioning at the institute. Lessons are held in Uzbek and Russian languages. Currently 2182 students are enrolled in classes. 1904 of them are students of bachelor courses, and 278 of them are master courses students.
There are 15 professional and 6 social chairs.
The teaching staff of TSIL is 221. Among them there is an Honoured scientist, 2 Honoured Lawyers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Scientific potential of the institute is 66%. There is an academician, 30 doctors of sciences, 115 candidates of sciences at the institute. Among 146 teachers, who have an academic degree, there are 20 professors and 71 docents.
Currently middle age of the institute staff is 40.
