Sifat.uz - Uzbek Centre for Certification of Cotton Fibre “SIFAT”
The Uzbek Centre “Sifat” is an independent organization for certification and control of quality of cotton fibre, linter and technical cotton seeds, wool and hydroscopic cotton products.
The Uzbek Centre “Sifat” carries out the weighing of each bale of fibre and linter produced at ginneries.
The Uzbek Centre «Sifat» carries out a state control on production, output and quality of cotton seeds and their rational usage depending on a purpose.
Certificates of Conformity and Acts of per bale weighing issued by the Centre «Sifat», are obligatory documents for trade operations during cotton products sale.
There are regional laboratories in all regions of the Republic, which carry out per bale certification of cotton fibre, control of linter, wool and technical cotton seeds quality. All of them are equipped with highly productive systems of HVI 900 SA and other present-day test equipment
The Uzbek Centre «Sifat» carries out the evaluation of fibre stickiness at the device SCT, scientific works on studying consumer properties of zoning, new and perspective elite selections of Uzbek cotton, development of test methods, classification and standardization of cotton products in terms of usage of modern measuring technique and world market requirements .
The Uzbek Centre “Sifat” makes and sells to the interested organization physical standards of Uzbek cotton fibre (the boxes), linter, technical seeds, cotton wool and hydroscopic cotton products according to which all trade operations are carried out.
The Uzbek Centre “Sifat” trains the specialists on cotton classification and testing in accordance with Uzbek and international standards for its own laboratories and other native and foreign organizations.
The Uzbek Centre “Sifat” is a member of Leading European Cotton Associations (International, Gdynia).
